Our kids have a unique personality all their own, which they get to express through in their rooms. From wall coverings to posters, design has come a long way for children with artists crafting unique pieces to bring their spirit to life. NYC is great focus on inspiration and post Sandy we are all looking to give some love to our beloved NYC and rebuild. Here are some of our favorite pieces to inspire your child's NYC-focused room.
Giving some love to NYC, we love the 'All the Taxis in New York' poster by James C. Hancock that showcases the somewhat chaotic nature of the streets of our beloved NYC complete with overlapping traffic jams and iconic taxi cabs.
Another ode to NYC can be seen in the 'All the Buildings in New York' Screenprint by James Guillver Hancock. In this stunning print, you can see the vast building of NYC - complete with its high buildings, apartments and packed living quarters that make it unlike anywhere else.
Another favorite is the prints fromChildren Inspire Design, aline of modern, eco-friendly and culturally diverse artwork designed to help children learn compassion for our earth and all who inhabit it. Their 'My Roots Lie Here' print allows kids to place small heart stickers where they are from, live or have family members from. Another favorite is the 'New York' print (they also have prints for every single state) that also includes heart stickers for kids to stay connected to where they are from as well to stay connected to where other family members may live. Also, each piece incorporates repurposed paper materials, soy inks, and biodegradable packaging. Encompassing everything from prints to posters, wall cards and more, the line even offers a very special Global Compassion Poster of which 100% of the proceeds go to Future Fortified to help provide nutrients for children around the world.
