Time to Play Most Wanted Toys 2012

Momtrends recently had the opportunity to attend the Time to Play expo held at the Altman Building. Toy industry experts and founders of www.timetoplaymag.com, Jim Silver and Chris "The Toy Guy" Bryne, kicked of the season with their annual spring showcase. I was able to get a first look at the hottest new playthings everyone will be buzzing about during this Holiday Season. And I must say you will not be disappointed!

Here is my top ten most wanted toys for 2012
that I felt were the most unique and fun:

1. Kids Only Big Wheel: The Big Wheel is back and better than ever! The Big Wheel now comes in three different sizes and four styles. It is perfect for younger and older kids and in two colorways for boys and girls.

2. V Tech Switch and Go Dinos: The ultimate kids toy, Switch & Go Dinos easily transform between a dinosaur and a vehicle in a few simple steps. Switch & Go Dinos come equipped with an LCD screen for customizable animations.

3. Doodle Dome: Write and draw with light in the Glow Crazy Doodle Dome tent. Use the glow crazy wand to draw on the walls of the Doodle Dome, or use the included stencils to form patterns with this kids glow draw set.

4. Cool Baker Cake Pop Maker: With the Cool Baker Cake Pop Maker, kids can make, decorate, and eat cake pops with no baking required. What a fun update to an "easy bake oven."

5. Lite BrixCra-Z-Art Lite Brix Building System is a traditional brick building construction with the magic of light up bricks and connectors, allowing kids to "build with lights."

6. Eric Carle Very Hungry Caterpillar Game: Eric Carle just makes all things beautiful and with this board game your child can go on a journey of learning and transformation as their caterpillar develops from egg to beautiful butterfly.

7. Illuminivor Mecha Shark by Sky Rocket Toys: The Illumivor Mecha-Shark is a light-up R/C toy from Skyrocket Toys. This radio-controlled shark features animated chomping teeth, a moving tail, and ominous shark sound effects.

8. Time For Your Check Up "Doc McStuffins" Doll: Girls can bring home their new friend and sing along to the theme song as they nurture their own toys.

9. Sing Along Jukebox by Baby Genius: Just like with a real jukebox, kids insert plastic "coins" and use the letter & number buttons on the front to listen to their favorite Baby Genius songs.

10. XBOX 360 Kinect: For the ultimate gift this season, give your child the XBOX Kinect. Kinect system hooks up to your XBOX 360 and all you need is yourself, no remotes or controller. Be able to jump, talk, and engage with your TV.
