This year some of our favorite mom bloggers went to Africa on a mission of hope as part of the #OneMoms program. They went to see first hand the ground we are losing and winning in the fight against AIDS, poverty and famine. While I am spending the day giving thanks, I am taking a moment to count my blessings for being born in a wealthy country where medicine is a given and healthcare is widely available.
I am grateful to these moms for heading to Africa to tell story that isn't as popular as the Kardashians. It's not as flashy as the football games going on right now. But it's so important to think globally and take action.
Educate yourself, teach your children to give back and never, ever take for granted your blessings. For my family, friendships and freedom I give thanks.
