With the burst of spring air we saw last week, I was inspired to begin looking for a swimsuit. Not exactly a fun time for a mama of two, but a necessary piece of my wardrobe with the warmer days ahead. It is difficult to browse catalogs and peruse magazines with waif thin models strolling down the beach in a two-piece tiny bikini or equally fun, modeling "tummy" panels and bust minimizers.

Syncing Your Style is all about YOU, so I've done the homework for you and have chosen, five figure flattering, stylish suits that will not only enable you to hide the less than appealing parts of your post-partum body, but also allow you to feel beautiful and comfortable and most of all confident.

You should expect to pay a little bit more for a good swimsuit, you want a quality swimsuit that will hold its shape, and color and look good all summer long. It is also a good idea to "size up" when trying a swimsuit. I choose to include only one piece suits because after speaking with a local shop owner and swimsuit "expert", she reminded me that a tankini splits you in "two" and any extra tummy bulk can peek out and over the top creating an unappealing look. One pieces actually make you look slimmer, and elongate the torso.

When purchasing a swimsuit online, ask about return policies to be sure that you can return it if it doesn't "suit" you. Another hint I picked up is to try the swimsuits on as you would wear them out. Pair it with simple accessories, summer shoes and a bag, and mama, do brush your hair. Feeling extra motivated? Apply a bit of shimmer to your lips.

I love this Tommy Bahama, "Pearl V-Neck One Piece Swimsuit" shown in Peony Pink. The neckline is plunging which shows off your curves and draws attention away from your mid-section. It has adjustable straps, and molded cups, both which are a hard to find but must have necessity in a swimsuit. I love the shirred, ruched middle which hides your not so perfect tummy and full back coverage, allowing you to feel as comfortable strolling the shoreline as you would digging a sand castle. The bold and vibrant color says, "I am not willing to hide!" and "I'm a hip mama!" It can be found online at www.tommybahama.com and retails for $126.

The deep- V works with your assets and the bright blue hues are eye-catching and stays clear away from the typical black we so often depend on. Gottex is a brand known to design suits that know women's bodies, and this Gottex Vasarelli one piece does not disappoint. The asymmetrical striped design gives the illusion of a smaller waistline and slims the tummy area. With wide straps and a modest, yet stylish V, this suit allows you to move with confidence. Features full bottom coverage and a sexy low, "U" cut to show off some skin without being too revealing. I love the dual sided pattern, it adds interest and detail but is still classic, sophisticated and would work on any figure. it can be found at www.southbeachswimsuits.com and retails for $178.
