Notes from the Kitchen: A Review of Snapi

We've found a great little kitchen gadget this week, ideal for holiday meals and buffets, especially when hosting large dinners. It might even make the perfect hostess gift to take along with a side dish for a potluck.

The Snapi Single Handed Server is designed to pick up a full serving of pasta, salad and more, in a single snap. The clam-like shape, complete with teeth, allows the user to serve themselves one-handed without dropping food or their plate, and is easy enough for children to use too.

What we loved:

  • Snapi is easy to use. We tested ours with a 9 and 6-year-old who passed it with flying colors! It features a lock for storage and can be opened and shut easily with one hand.
  • Snapi is BPA-free and made in the USA with dishwasher safe polymers.
  • Snapi is works well for hot food as well as cold, especially important when letting children serve themselves. My children were able to scoop hot pasta without burning their hands.

Snapi is available in four colors--Ice, Watermelon, Kiwi, and Berry; and can be purchased on for approximately $6.95.

Shannon is a Canadian mom to her two little Texans, now living in Colorado, and the author of

Momtrends was not paid for this post.
We did receive two Snapi's to test out (one per child!)
