ShāToBu: Shapewear for the Modern Women

I am always looking for a good pair of tights. Something that is sturdy and slimming as well as something that I am going to feel good wearing. In addition to my quest for searching for the perfect tights, I am also looking for shapewear like bodysuits and tanks that I can wear when I am running around with my kids as well as something that is going to be comfortable for me when I exercise.

I recently discovered such a product with a new line of shapewear called ShāToBu. Developed by Dr. Denise Perron, a board-certified chiropractor, this revolutionary shaper is not just a cute bodysuit or pair of tights, they are actually designed to burn up to 12% of your daily calories throughout your day as well as provide a create sleek and smooth silhouette.

The line includes the ShāToBu Get Fit Tights, ShāToBu Get Fit Shapers, ShāToBu Get Fit EverydayWear, and flat wear. At a recent preview of the line at Lord and Taylor, I had a chance to see and feel the various ShāToBu products. As a mom on-the-go, I loved the Everyday Wear line, which included a Shaping & Toning Legging, a Posture Supporting Tee, a Slimming Posture Supporting Tank and a Slimming Posture Supporting Top. The Shapers were also interesting to view at the showroom, which included a Waist to Knee Shaper, High Waist to Knee Shaper, a Mid-Thigh Shaper and a Mid-Thigh High Waist Shaper. These various offerings make it so that any women can find the right shaper for their body type as they feel great and confident wearing them.

I like a little design with my tights so I was ecstatic when I was able to test out the Shaping Rib Tight. Available in black, this cute tight was the perfect compliment to my outfit, which also made me feel confident as they snug close to my legs without drooping or saggy. As part of the ShāToBu line, these tight are also said to tone the muscles and support the back. While I didn't notice if I burned calories or not, I did like the feeling of the tights that provided me with firm control for my tummy and thighs.

Not only a cute and chic line of shapewear, ShāToBu also has its claims backed by an independent study conducted by the University of Virginia Curry School of Education indicating that "when women wear them, their energy increases during walking, which translates to more calories burned."

While I don't think you should give up your normal exercise regime in lieu of wearing these tights, I do think that the ShāToBu line can be a fashionable compliment to your wardrobe as they help you firm and shape your body and burn calories.
