Rosie Pope Maternity and a Night at the Opera

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to visit the maternity store of Pregnant in Heels star, Rosie Pope. After giving birth to her son in 2008, Rosie wanted to share her story and difficulties with other mothers. Her driving force led her to start Rosie Pope Maternity, her expansive maternity clothing and accessories line, and MomPrep, her prenatal, postpartum and fitness studio that prepares parents for a fabulous future.

Upon my arrival to Rosie's Upper East Side maternity clothing store, I was greeted at the door by Rosie herself. After chatting about our children and congratulating her on the news of her 3rd pregnancy, Rosie handpicked 5 looks for me to wear for my busy schedule the next week.

The excitement of having Rosie handpick these 5 outfits from her own maternity line was incredible. She gave her honest opinions on what outfits looked right as well as which ones needed something a bit different.

Over the next 5 weeks I will share with you Rosie's handpicked outfits. The first piece of clothing is one of my favorites.

My husband and I had a date night at the Metropolitan Opera to see Anna Bolena. Thank goodness for this amazing White Onassis dress from Rosie Pope Maternity. Without it I would have had to search in my closet for hours, and I'm not even sure I would even find something that fit so perfectly or looked this chic!

What instantly struck me about the piece was its amazing crystal beading placed throughout the neckline. I loved that the dress had a neckline that came right up to my neck. This was a new style for me that I had never worn in maternity wear or even in my regular clothes. During the evening, I received several compliments about the dress and its stylish neckline that made me feel elegant and sophisticated.

I also loved that the dress took the guesswork out of accessorizing. Thanks to its gorgeous beading you only need a minimal amount of accessories, which made it super easy for me to get dressed and out of the door that night. During the 4-hour performance, I loved the stretchy fabric that accommodated my expanding belly and made me feel comfortable throughout the night.

The Onassis dress - available in both white and black - is perfect for an evening that requires a more formal attire. The dress retails for $295 and can be found at Rosie Pope Maternity.
