I love to read, but I don't always find it easy to fit in. I recently have been using more e-books as a portable and lightweight way to get more reading in. Now that is back-to-school season, I have been thinking about using some evening time for reading and thanks to my card from Livrada, an e-book system I am able to stay connected to popular titles.
Offering New York Times best selling titles in ALL Target stores, these e-reading cards make the perfect and very personal gift for any e-reader. Although the standard gift card is nice, Livrada takes this to the next level by offering a personal gift with replicas of the actual book cover! So, it can feel like you are essentially receiving the very same book and nothing genetic.
I loved this personal feel - especially when I received my gift card for Girl Gone, a suspenseful novel by Gillian Flynn about a marriage gone wrong during the disappearance of a wife during her fifth anniversary. I loved both the simplicity of the Livrada card that featured the cover of the actual novel that was personal and a unique way to begin using the system. I also liked how the back included a brief synopsis and simple instructions on how to download the title (essentially all you have to do is scratch of the pin, select your device (kindle or nook) and download. Since it was in an e-reader format I made time for the novel while on the train or at night and read it with ease.
Currently sold at all Target stores, Livrada e-book cards also include Ann Patchett's latest novel State of Wonder, Fifty Shades of Grey, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, or 44 Charles Street by Danielle Steel with plans to expand their catalogue offerings.
While reading can be challenging when you become a parent, it is great to know that there are resources like Livrada that allows parents to be connected to current titles as well as offer a fun and personal gift to share with others.
