Pretzel Crisps: Mom Energy
I've got a salt tooth. Sweets? Nope don't crave them. Salty, crunchy pretzels? Count me in! I've been snacking on a new item called Pretzel Crisps. All the crunchiness and flavor but a little lighter. What a great way to celebrate National Pretzel Month (October!).
Pretzels Crisps contain 110 calories per serving and no fat (10-11 crisps) compared with 150 calories and 10 gram of fat (1 g saturated) per one ounce serving for potato chips. Pretzels Crisps does not contain trans or saturated fats and have only 21-23 grams of carbohydrate per serving (1 ½ carbohydrate exchanges).

With a dozen varieties to pick from, we like the Everything (just like the bagel) best. While we like them plain, we've also used them with dips, and they are great as a small bite. To get inspired, check out this page of pretzel pairing suggestions. Our favorite is the Cruise Ship: Cream cheese, Cooked shrimp, tails off, Fresh dill, Green Onion, Capers and Celery. We love all the terrific ideas for entertaining.
Right now Pretzel Crips is teaming up with Susan G. Komen on the What I Would Have Missed program. Upload a photo or a video of a moment in your life that reminds you how important it is to get screened for breast cancer. No one likes a mammogram--but we all want these precious memories. And the company is giving to Komen for the Cure through the sale of its 14oz bags of Original Flavor Pretzel Crisps, available at retailers nationwide ( they pledge to donate a minimum of $112,500 to Komen). Shop smart and support this great cause.
