Paula Adbul Takes On Fashion

mom blogger fashion

Paula Abdul knows how to sparkle. This week this diva is part of the inspiration for Monday Mingle. Back when Sandy raged through NYC I was supposed to have lunch with Paula at a swank NYC restaurant. Here's just one more reason to hate Sandy--my lunch was cancelled. But the lovely Paula sent me a HUGE goody bag full of samples--including the Star-Studded handbag I am modeling this week.

The hurricane is past and I'm kind of over missing my brush with stardom. But I'm not over this fun bag. I was heading out to meetings last week and added it to my outfit. Paula has had her share of interesting fashion moments over the years--from a Laker Girl outfit to super trendy 80s clothes, to glitter judge on Idol--she knows how to have fun with her looks. She's infused this jewelry collection she curated just for Avon with the same lively spirit.

As for me, the outfit was meant to be businesslike--I don't know if I even came close. These days I just dress to make myself happy. It's so nice to be your own boss. Here's what else I've got in the mix:

Monday Mingle is a fashionable collaboration between slightly obsessed women--yours truly, Editor of Momtrends, Kristin from BonBonRoseGirlsand Jill from Glamamom. Each Monday we post about our personal style and invite others to join in the fun. This week I get to play host. Be sure to join in the fun every Monday.

Momtrends was not paid for this post. I did get samples. So many samples. Does anyone have closet space I can borrow? Oh yes, I am an Avon Ambassador, but this post was not technically part of any requirement. I just like the bag.
