One Hot Mama: The Guide to Getting Your Mind and Body Back After Baby

one hot mama review

Are you a new mom? Feeling overwhelmed and frumpy? Erin Cox wants to change that with her step-by-step manual to help new moms find their mojo: One Hot Mama: The Guide to Getting Your Mind and Body Back After Baby

Erin Cox is a woman on a mission. The life coach, blogger and author (oh, and she's a mom of three) wants new mothers need to feel "empowered and supported to make healthy lifestyle changes." The book tackles the first three months of motherhood, but even seasoned vetrans can get plenty of useful advice.

As the Editor of Momtrends.com I see a lot of books and trends when it comes to motherhood. Most of them are fluffy and provide broad strokes. Erin's book is all about digging deeper and giving specific advice and suggestions for new moms. Her book is full of affirmations and fell-good guru speak, but there's also plenty of blunt honesty about what it takes to get back in shape.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is that is makes "mommy time" a priority. Again and again, Erin gives suggestions on how to build esteem and escape feeling isolated and alone. This is a terrific book to give a girlfriend going through her first pregnancy.
