Every year we make time to attend the NY Gift Show. Drawing 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and 85 countries, the NYIGF is open to the trade only--but they also let in the press--and bloggers like me who are sometimes considered press. Held at our huge convention center on the west side of NYC, there are aisles and aisles showcasing more than 2,500 brands representing home, lifestyle and gifts.
We scour the booths searching for what we think will please you and things that could be considered trendy. Here are our top picks from the show.
Sublime design: All our picks have to be appealing to the eye
Functionality: We ask: Will it simply gather dust in your home or will it help you live better?
Buzz-worthy: Is it a fresh concept or has it taken an old design and somehow updated it in a way that makes it feel new again?
And the winners of the Momtrends Style Awards go to:
Rainbow nesting bowls (Joseph, Joseph)
Kitsch'n Glam Aprons
Give Wrap: Reusable Eco-Friendly Wrapping
Cameo Custom Baby Rattles
Alladin collapsible bowls
