February is National Snack Month!

Hidden Valley Ranch has launched an initiative to help get kids interested in healthy snack foods by introducing fun and creative recipes to help kids eat (and enjoy!) nutritious snacks, featuring ideas kids can make for themselves. Recent scientific studies confirmed that pairing vegetables with ranch can help bitter-sensitive kids overcome vegetable aversion, and these recipes might just be the perfect fit.

Veggie Critter Snacks (pictured above):
Sometimes, it is a great idea to play with your food!
1 packet Hidden Valley® The Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
2 8 oz. tubs reduced fat cream cheese
A wide variety of chopped, colorful vegetables such as: asparagus, cherry, tomatoes, crinkle cut carrots, bell peppers, etc.

  • Add the seasoning mix to the cream cheese.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Using a variety of vegetables'??and a little imagination'??you can build critters with your child.

Ranch Seasoned Popcorn:
1 packet (1 ounce) Hidden Valley Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
1 bowl popped popcorn

  • Sprinkle buttered popcorn to taste with dry dressing mix.

Original Ranch Snack Mix:
8 cups Crispix cereal
2½ cups small pretzels
2½ cups bite-size, Cheddar cheese crackers (optional)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 packet (1 ounce) Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix

Combine cereal, pretzels and crackers in a gallon-size zippered bag.
Pour oil over mixture.
Seal bag and toss to coat.
Add dressing mix; seal bag and toss again until coated.
