Yesterday was National Cookie Day, and I had the pleasure to celebrate with Ivanka Trump, mother and businesswoman, and celebrity pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini who were involved with Glad Products to ring in the holiday season by spreading the word that cookies are the currency for giving back.
During this event, which was also the 89th annual New York Stock Exchange tree lighting, The Glad Products Company was on-hand to give away thousands of cookies to support their partner Cookies for Kids'?? Cancer, a nonprofit that raises funds for pediatric cancer research through cookie sales. During this program, Cookies for Kids' Cancer was also encouraging cookie exchanges where for every cookie exchanged this holiday season, Glad will make a donation to this nonprofit.
It was quite a holiday spectacular to observe the lighting of the tree and view several musical performances nearby. The Glad Products Company also had a delicious booth set up complete with cookies and a photo booth.
To get involved during the holiday season, you can send a virtual cookie to a friend at Glad.com or host your own Cookies for Kids' Cancer Bake Sale or Cookie Exchange by registering at cookiesforcancer.org.
