mimijumi: Bottles for the Modern Baby

My quest for the perfect bottle continues. With my second daughter, I have been doing more bottle feeding and although she has taken to this method of feeding really well I have noticed that she favors some bottles over others. I also have some requirements for the bottles: they have to be soft, BPA-and phthlate-free and contain no latex. I recently had the chance to try out a fantastic new comfortable bottle called the Very Hungry Bottle by mimijumi, a company based in Nashville, Tennessee.

This innovative 8oz bottle is designed like a breast in its appearance and mimics a breast - making it easier for picky babies to transition to a bottle or feed in a natural manner. In order for my baby to get milk, she had to latch on to the Very Hungry Bottle's nipple (much like a breast) where milk was then naturally expressed. It's wide mouth or nipple was also a natural way for her to feed, which didn't leave her fussy or upset that she was using a bottle, but rather, allowed me to go between breast and bottle effortlessly.

I also loved that the bottle was very easy to open with only three parts - the actual bottle, the nipple and cap. It screwed on easily and was also easy to clean (as well as being dishwasher safe).

The company also noted that its ventilation system aids a baby's digestion and its baby is "perfect complement to breastfeeding and the best possible transition to bottle feeding."

In addition to the Very Hungry Bottle, mimijumi sells Not So Hungry Bottle (a smaller bottle) and replacement nipples, which are all BPA and latex free, EA free, and follow US safety standards.

With its innovative and modern design, this bottle is an essential item that every mom will love thanks to it's natural shape that focuses on the best possible way for babies to feed.
