It is not everyday that I am able to get my makeup done by celebrity makeup artist Jake Bailey or receive a facial from Jillian Wright, an NYC esthetician and owner of the Clinical Skin Spa. Actually that has never happened so I was loving every minute I received a treat while learning about various products from COVERGIRL + Olay.
First up was a facial (my first!) from Jillian where we instantly started chatting about being moms and how that can wreck havoc on the skin. I told her about my issues with having sensitive skin and she told me the skin needs to be nourished properly, which includes eating well, but also taking care of it by receiving facials to remove dead skin cells and to treat it with proper moisturizers. Jillian showed me some inexpensive products from the Olay line like the Olay Regenerist UV Cream SPF. Formulated to restore firmness as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, Jillian lightly applied it to my skin that she noted also helps to restore moisture to help rebuild surface cell structure and firmness. She then applied the COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer(available July 2012), a formula that is designed to give the skin a facelift by creating firmness. I loved how smooth it felt as it essentially created a canvas before foundation was applied to my skin. It was incredibly lightweight and Jillian noted that it can last for over eight hours, and when used overtime it can improve the skin to reveal healthier and more toned complexion. I also learned that it was suitable for sensitive skin - meaning it won't clog pores!

With my skin bare and clean, Jake was ready to work his magic with the new collection products from COVERGIRL & Olay. First up was the COVERGIRL + Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation, a product that is designed to infuse the benefits of both skincare and makeup to create a gorgeous finish as well as improve the texture of the skin. As someone who doesn't really wear foundation, I loved how lightweight it felt as well as how well it covered my skin (spots, wrinkles and all). It created a soft and radiant glow that is actually designed to improve skin tone over time. Another bonus, is that COVERGIRL guarantees that you can get your money back if you are not satisfied with the product - making it worth giving it a shot.
Jake finished my look by applying the COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush, a cream-based formula that stays suspended over fine lines and wrinkles by providing coverage over the cheekbones. Infused with vitamins, skin conditioners, and anti-oxidants, this products is also designed to help improve skin texture to give you an instantly healthy-looking, youthful glow. He also applied the COVERGIRL + Olay Pressed Powder (available July 2012), a light formula that is deigned to brighten the skin and seal any oils or moisture in the skin.
I left really radiant and refreshed as I learned how to apply this new collection of makeup and how to better take care of my skin. As COVERGIRL points out, "Women can really have a second chance with their skin."
