During some dreary NYC weather I got a breath of fresh air at The Land of Nod Spring Preview. The Land of Nod and Crate and Barrel invited editors in to have a look at the spring designs in store. I was treated to a loft full of bold colors and fresh prints--the perfect thing to perk up your indoor or outdoor space.
In the world of home, Crate & Barrel was showing off the bold partnership with Marimekko--the colorful Scandinavian design house. For 50 years, the two bands have teamed up to bring the modern florals to the US. This year I was pleased to see some more earthy tones in the collection, but fret not there is still high wattage color too.
While the outdoor collection was grand, I spent most of my time talking to the designers from The Land of Nod. One of the key trends I spotted was the Indian influence. Check out these cool poufs! The vinyl coating makes than affordable--just $79.
And how about the hand-blocked bedding from the top feature! Made in India, I think this tribal chic room would please girls from 3-18.
We also loved the storage options, like this set of three plastic storage boxes. And how about this rack? I'm pretty sure I saw one just like it on Design Within Reach for $500!
There were plenty of fun things for babies--including exciting sheets for the crib and a swank Monte recliner covered in an exclusive grey flannel fabric. We also loved the throw pillows in fun and funky shapes and sizes.
The Land of Nod hopes to expand their lamp collection. Check out these illuminating finds:

Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get a swag bag at the event.
