For as long as I can remember, I have always been crazy about my holiday cards even before kids. I use to dress up my two little dogs and take pictures of them near our tree and send them out to friends and family. Now with kids, my cards are on a whole new level between choosing the right spot/background, to what they will wear, to having them smiling at the same time and even the quantity I send out (over a 100). I try not to stress out too much but to enjoy the memories in the making.
This year, I decided to dress my daughter Siella in one of my favorite new brands called Bambinos & Bunny. Bambinos and Bunny, founded by two talented moms, Stacie and Karla who each have daughters of their own! Siella's black and white dress features gold buttons up the the back and a front coin pocket. Her headband is also a signature of B&B is gold lycra, which I get tons of compliments on. Her gold moccasin shoes are from another favorite of mine called Lil' Fut & Company. They come in tons of colors and are handcrafted by a group of artisans from Boracay in the Philippines. Ryder is wearing H&M straight leg dark denim, along with a white and black dot tailored shirt. The shirt, also from H&M came with a bow tie but I decided to replace with a skinny tie from Zara instead. H&M had a wonderful selection this year for holiday fashions for kids.
Now that I had their outfits in order, I needed to chose a setting. I wanted this year to be very NYC so we decided to go in the subway. I figured with the cold weather they would be able to take off their coats so you can see their holiday garb. After three long hours of riding the subway, stopping, getting off for snacks, our last shot happen to be the "one". I went with a simple card outline from Tiny Prints with the saying "Cherish The Season." And here is the finished product. I am already thinking of next years setting since we will have three children by then. Happy Holidays!!!
