Keep Car Seats Clean with the Nomie Baby Car Seat Cover

It is inevitable to avoid mess when you have a baby. Every where I go I find myself cleaning up after my baby, or when food or other random substances ends up on me! When we travel, I find that I have to perform a juggling act of entertainment, feeding and eventually getting the baby to sleep. During the song-and-dance, I often find that mess aka the food ends up everywhere! Milk splashes on her and her car seat and food somehow ends up in those tiny creases as well as up her back. It's a mess, but I recently cleaned up my act (and my car seat) when I had the opportunity to test out the Nomie Baby Car Seat Cover.

Created by Katie Danziger, a mom who was searching for "the perfect fabric that was both comfy to sit on, and won't leak thru to the car seat." She found out that there wasn't anything like that on the market and created nomie baby and their unique fabric that has a silky soft layer, comfy padding to absorb spills, and a wicking material that makes it water-proof.

I was sold by all of those unique features, and recently had the opportunity to put it to the test out the purple toddler car seat cover when we took a road trip upstate. The first step was to actually place the cover on the car seat, which was done in seconds - (this is also great for quick cleaning and washing purposes). It easily slipped on (no straps or buckles were involved - only elastic edges and an easy Velcro opening) and I instantly loved how lightweight it felt. During our journey, I gave my baby a bottle, which of course splashed over the seat. The cover, though is waterproof, so after the trip I simply wiped it away. I could imagine that this would be an amazing (and easy) clean-up if kids get sick or vomit in the car. Luckily we didn't have to deal with that for this trip!

Since it was hot when we traveled I loved that the fabric was breathable and also safe (all fabrics have passed flammability and lead tests). We tested out the vibrant purple model, but the nomie baby for babies and toddlers also comes in brown, pink, charcoal grey, lemon lime, and light blue.

Also, the car seat covers are compatible to virtually every car seat (see complete list here) and they offer a 5% savings when you buy 2 or more infant car seat covers.

Although life with kids is messy, the nomie baby is a great way to contain the mess in style.
