Ivanka Trump, businesswoman, celebrity and new mom, recently hosted a cookie exchange event with Glad to support Cookies for Kids'?? Cancer, a non-profit that raises money for pediatric cancer research as well to support research for new and improved therapies. Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the U.S., but research for the disease has been historically underfunded with approximately half of all drugs used to treat children with cancer being at least 20 years old. Through this cause, patients and their families have found inspiration and support from their communities and businesses to help fight pediatric cancer.
The event was a huge success where media and consumers were invited to stop by, purchase a cookie from Sarabeth'??s Kitchen to support this amazing cause. The event also encouraged consumers to host their own cookie exchanges and bake sales to benefit the nonprofit organization and for every cookie exchanged or sold at an official bake sale during the months of December, GLAD will make a donation to Cookies for Kids'?? Cancer, up to $100,000.
