Italian Fashion Momtrends Style

A holiday in Italy with both sets of grandparents and two kids didn't leave me with much chance to shop. But I did stumble into a terrific little handbag and leather shop in Mennaggio on Italy's Lake Como. The owner and his son design and sell all their own wares.

Sadly I didn't get pictures of the shop (or of George Clooney the most famous resident) but it was packed with color. Loads of pink, gold, and lavender. But the color that stood out was the green. Perhaps it was due to looking at all the gorgeous, lush Italian gardens like this one at the Villa Melzi:

So this pretty grass green top-handle tote is the bag I decided on:

The shape reminds me a little of this one--a classic Lady Dior silhouette, but about 80% less because it is not a "designer" name:

This little treasure will likely only be used in summer, but I love having a unique bag and a memory of an incredible trip to Italy. I hope all your summer holidays were fashionable and fabulous. What did you wear? What did you buy?

Each week I team up with the lovelies from BonBonRoseGirls and Glamamom for a fashion linky where we talk about what we'??re wearing and what we'??d love to add to our closets. Won'??t you join in the fun? Click here to link up.
