The holiday season is all about the merriment for our kids (check out toy picks here), but it also nice to receive something special. Our stylish team of writers and editors shared their top picks including bracelets, sweaters, and cool journals - among many other fun picks for the holidays.
Anna of Random Handprints (Writer):
For me, I'd like to have a professional photographer take a family portrait. Every time I see someone else's lovely family picture I think to myself, "we have to do this!" and then we don't. But this year, I really hope we do. (And as long as it's just a wish list, I wouldn't mind having a stylist pick the clothes, too.)
Brianne of Stroller in the City (Writer and Maternity Columnist):
Item for myself that I love to get and give are Seasonal Whispers bracelets. I probably own about 100 of them but I love the new designs, colors, and charms are always emerging.
Elizabeth of Wee Westchester (Writer):
For myself, I'm asking Santa for a fabulous sweater because can never have enough sweaters! I think the Handknit Popcorn Sweater in heather pond from JCrew fits the bill. It's neutral enough to wear often but the color gives it something special. I'll wear it with my skinny jeans and motorcycle boots.
Heather of Theta Mom (Organizing Columnist):
As a busy mom, I love owning a chic planner to keep me organized through the holidays and throughout the entire year! A momAgenda planner is both stylish and functional, which certainly helps to maintain my sanity.
Kaity of When Babies Blog (Writer):
I recently got introduced to theCold Spring Apotecary products after my last haircut. This company makes some beautiful CSA natural products that smell amazing. I wouldn't normally spend this much on hair product so would make a great gift!
Lindsay of Lindsay Brooke Style (Columnist for 'Get the Look with Lindsay' and Writer):
Hermes Collier de Chien black leather cuff with gold studs. This is a gift I would NOT mind receiving! It's been on my lust list for a few years now. It's the perfect combination of classic with an edge. I tend to wear more gold jewelry so I'd opt for the gold hardware. I get excited just looking at it!
Mandy (Creative Director):
For the chic-DIY-er:
Create gorgeous personalized wraps for the tech accessories everyone uses. Make them feel special by
adding their favorite color and monogram and no one will ever "borrow" their gear without giving it back again.
For the tech-goddess:
Who wouldn't love a beautiful, handmade, practical charging station conceived of a vintage train case?
These babies come fully loaded with ports and docks to keep all their gadgets charged and at the ready.
For the last minute gift or anyone on your nice list:
These beautiful leather journals are ideal for men and women--add an initial or monogram for that extra special touch.
Michelle of Everything's A Buzz (Columnist for 'Synching Your Style' and Writer):
I have always loved capes-not the superhero kind but the ones that keep you cozy, look chic and are less bulky than a typical coat. I found a Tina Rain Cape from Michael Kors on Zappos and I have left plenty of hints for "Santa" hoping it will make it's way under my tree. I love the toggle clasps, and the faux fur collar makes it big on style without being too stiff.
