Tis the season to deck the halls and trim the trees. We headed to CT to chop down a beauty at the Angevine Tree Farm. It was chilly so I was bundled up and booted up.
The family run farm is so lovely. For the past three years we've found our tree at this spot-this is how traditions are made. The rest of the holiday weekend was pretty casual. Lots of jeans, boots and cozy sweaters. Our holiday was not formal!
For this outing, I was decked out in an old Ralph Lauren cashmere coat. The windowpane pattern is fairly timeless. Good thing since I purchased the coat in 2001! Another fine investment from Ralph. The scarf was a find at TJMaxx this year, but the big news is the boots.

My only complaint is that the calf fit rather loose on me--good news for ladies with bigger calves. This won't be a squeeze.
The afternoon was perfect and the tree is now soaking in water back in our Brooklyn apartment. Our home smells like a pine forest and tomorrow we get out the ornaments and start decorating.
