Time to talk fashion--it's Monday Mingle! Last night we went to the Park Avenue tree lighting ceremony on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It was a casual family affair, but I wanted to add a little sparkle. It's pretty reminiscent of a lot of my wardrobe--good basics with a little pizzazz!
The jeans are old faithfuls from J brand. I thought they were expensive at the time ($180 I think), but now two years later I think they are down to about $.10 a wear. They get tossed on at least 2x a week. Especially during boot season since they tuck in so nicely.
The boots are from the way back machine. Ralph Lauren circa 2001. Loved the days of employee discounts of 50% off designer shoes. All of my Ralph Lauren boots have held up to the test of time. This pair is no different. And considering the sizable heel, they are still easy to walk those long city blocks in.
Now let's get to the good stuff. The vest is last year's Rachel Zoe for QVC. I think it was $99. I love the Chanel-like appearance, though it is a tiny bit big (sized as a small), I still love popping this on during December.
Lands' End provided the fun festive tote. It was the swag bag from our last blogging event in NYC. I think the pop of plaid really was necessary to keep me from looking too serious.
Now it's your turn? What did you wear last week? Can't wait to see. And congrats to Breakfast with Tiffany winner of last week's Monday Mingle contest!
