In our family, Santa often leaves toothbrushes in the stockings. Might be that Grandpa is a dentist, might be that we are scared of all the sugar our kids consume this time of year might result in gruesome checkups com January, but it also might be that there are really cute offerings out there. This year we're adding GUM® CrayolaTM toothbrushes into the mix.

Sugar cookies, gingerbread houses, cocoa and marshmallows...it adds up. It's the most wonderful time of the year to help teach your kids the importance of brushing their teeth!

According to the American Dental Association, toothbrushes that come in fun designs and shapes can make it easier to motivate kids to brush their teeth. Our informal testing of the GUM® Crayola toothbrushes proves this study valid.

For the 6 year old who is mastering brushing solo we gave the GUM Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush ($3.49). It flashes at 60-second intervals to help teach kids to brush longer and ensure better oral health. Two color-coordinated lights illuminate the entire brush, and come in 4 fun colors.

Less techie options include the GUM Crayola Marker Toothbrush with a colorful marker shaped design and colors and the GUM Crayola Pip-Squeaks Toothbrush ($2.99 twin pack).

And to keep the bathroom counter organized the GUM toothbrushes have a suction cup base that reduces clutter and helps keep the brush head clean. A gift that keeps on giving. And don't forget to LIKE Gum on Facebook an enter the 12 days of Christmas Giveaways--they are on Day 3.
