Hasbro has new toys mixed in with classic favorites. The resurgence of My Little Pony, Star Wars and G.I. Joe reminded me of my own childhood and I was excited that I am now able to share these toys with my own children. And isn't that what toys are supposed to do?
A new favorite is the Koosh Solar Recon for the younger 4-8 crowd. It shoots slower than Nerf and will be available in the fall. We had a chance to try it out and to tell you the truth, I think it is also an awesome stress release item for mom. Shooting the balls and knowing that they are not a hard hit seems like it could bring lots of family laughs and fun.

For the Sesame Street crowd, Elmo is always a popular favorite. Ready for School Elmo is for ages two and up. Each foot has a song, one is the ABCs and the other is a Numbers song. He also teaches color and shape recognition. He helps to develop fine motor skills by enabling little ones to fasten his shoe straps and zip his jacket.
Hasbro also had some toy fashion on display. Tutus and My Little Pony together - what more could a little girl ask for?
