Having a family means obtaining a quick mastery of shuffling from playdates to school, and of course multiple trips to the grocery store. Cars can make all of that shuffling a little easier as you have one place to load and unload your items as you also take your children around. With summer vacations approaching, cars are also a great way to have an inexpensive trip as your family explores a local destination while also saving money.
I recently had the chance to check out a collection of cars from GM at the New York International Auto Show - and boy, has the family car come a long way that now offers technology, style, comfort and functionality. Here are some exciting highlights and new products from GM:
Chevrolet Traverse: A crossover SUV, the Chevrolet Traverse is an incredibly spacious car that has a very comfortable interior. Outfitted to handle seating up to eight passengers and a standard third row that's comfortable for grown-ups, the Traverse has more space than many full-size SUVs. It also contains little details to make traveling with families easier like 10 cup holders, large door and rear air vents to keep everyone comfortable on-the-go.
Buick Enclave: This sleek car incorporates the tech functions that every modern family needs. Making its debut at the New York Auto Show, this luxury crossover vehicle includes an evolved interior and exterior design, increased luxury amenities and materials, and cool amenities like LED daytime running lamps, hood and black-chrome waterfall grille and 19-inch and 20-inch aluminum wheel designs
GMC Terrain Denali: The new Terrain Denali is equipped with technology like color touch radio, smartphone integration, iPod controls and safety technologies like forward collision alert and lane departure warning. The car is also fuel-efficient and features an incredibly sleek and roomy interior with soft-touch leather and wood accents.
Cadillac SRX: Cadillac introduced new technology and design enhancements to the SRX luxury crossover SUV at the New York International Auto Show. Additional features includes new Driver Awareness and Driver Assist technology packages including Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Cadillac'??s Safety Alert Seat technology, Automatic Front and Rear Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control and more, using radar and other technologies to help avoid collisions. The car also offers several entertainment features such as an eight-inch LCD multi-touch sensitive screen and a motorized faceplate for storage.
