Getting Healthy with Activia


How you feel can be directly related to your digestive system. If your yummy is out of whack, you will surely feel it. At a breakfast with Top Chef Just Desserts Judge, Johnny Luzzini I learned more about how to maintain good stomach health while also sampling some delicious meal options with Activia yogurt.

In addition to eating, I learned more about probiotic cultures and how they can benefit the stomach, and really health in general, by balancing the intestinal microflora that we all have in our stomach. Overtime, this microflora can get out of balance due to physical or psychological stress, drugs, age or an unbalanced diet. This causes a host of digestive issues that can affect the small intestine, large intestine or colon. However, eating Activia in adequate amounts with its exclusive probiotic Bifidus Regularis, can help regulate the digestive system to help make you feel good from the inside out when consumed daily for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.


To educate us more about Activia and its health properties, Johnny prepared some delicious breakfast foods that all contained Activia. My favorite was a Yogurt-Orange Blossom Panna Cotta that was packed with pistachios, grapefruit, lime juice and Activia Vanilla Yogurt. You would never be able to tell that this dessert was a healthy product and not a high-fat dessert. There was also a delicious cherry yogurt parfait with pumpkin seeds and whole cherries and a Brioche French toast with the middle scooped out that was filled with yogurt.
