Freshfoods'?¢ Cook '??n'??Blend Baby Food Maker

I am a huge proponent of making my own baby food. I've made food for both of my daughters and I just love how easy it is to provide them with the best possible ingredients. To help me out with the mashing and cooking process, I have been using Freshfoods'?¢ Cook '??n'??Blend Baby Food Maker.

Through this simple system, moms can have an easier way to make their own baby food through various food prep abilities such as mashing storing and freezing food. I've been using this innovative tool for months, and the ability to make up to four bowls of food is incredible. I used make smaller portions, but now I can cook in bulk and freeze for when my daughter is ready to eat. 4 bowls at a time.

Another cool feature is that the Cook '??n'??Blend Baby Food Maker allows for various textures from smooth to chunky so I can vary what my daughter eats.

To inspire some of your own baby food making, check out this delicious recipe for Chicken with Sweet Potato and Apple developed by Healthy Food Expert, Annabel Karmel.

Chicken with Sweet Potato and Apple
1/3 cup (1 oz/40g) chopped onion
1/2 tbsp canola oil
4 oz (100g) chicken breast, chopped
11 oz (300g) 2 cups sweet potato, peeled
and chopped
1 small apple peeled and chopped (1/2 cup)

Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion for about 5 minutes until softened. Allow the sautéed onion to cool down a bit, and then place into steam basket with the cut pieces of chicken, sweet potato and apple.

Place the steam basket into the cooking bowl and tightly twist the lid closed. Place the cooking bowl on the base and lock into place. Unscrew the water reservoir knob at the top of the unit and fill with water to level 3 (7oz of water). Tightly replace the knob. Press the on/off button to start cooking. The green light will come on. It will cook for approximately 17 minutes. Handle with care after cooking as hot steam may escape. Remove the basket using the spatula and save the stock in a cup.

Place the steamed vegetables and chicken from the basket directly into the cooking bowl and add half a cup of the cooking stock. To puree, turn the blender button to the desired speed depending on the texture you want.
