I've always loved back to school shopping when I was a kid. And now, I love it even more that I can do it for my kids, well technically just my son for right now. He will be starting Pre-K, and this is the first year he will be in school five days a week, full days. While I am weeping, I also realize that he is now a big boy and I am full on enjoying the shopping part.
I would like to share my two staple stores I usually hit up first: H&M kids and Zara. H&M kids and Zara kids have the hippest and coolest threads for my kids and always seem to be up on the latest trends. Plus, I feel both stores are reasonably priced. Unfortunately H&M is not available online yet, but Zara kids is! I usually purchase the bulk of my children's wardrobe like jeans and tees and then layer with designer pieces later.
For winter coats, I usually always go to my favorite brand Appaman. I have been buying Ryder's winter coats from this brand for the last three years. They are down lined jackets that are pretty lightweight and always keep him extremely warm in the winter months. Plus, I'm loving the silver color ways for both boys and girls this season. Appaman also carries really cute tees as well!
Next, my layering brands, I absolutely love Munster Kids, Diesel kids, Monster Republic, and Stella Blu. I usually find these pieces online or sometimes if you hit it up right, Century 21 will sometimes carry them! Finally, for kicks I always find hip and stylish shoes on Zappos. They have an excellent return and exchange policy in case sizes do not fit and you need to swap out.
Overall, back-to-school shopping should be fun, so keep it simple and do not stress! Remember that comfort is first and your child doesn't need a full wardrobe on the first day of school as you can gradually add to their collection! Happy Back-to-School shopping everyone!
