If there is one thing my daughter has taught me about fashion is that you don't always have to mix and match. Now that she dresses herself I am always amazed by what she puts together. Some days there is striped tights with polka dresses and others there is a sun hat with beads and a frilly skirt. It all works for her, and it made me realize that it is ok to mix things up a bit. A company that also adheres to this philosophy is Desigual.
During a recent showroom visit I had the chance to check out some of their current prints and as well an introduction to spring 2013. I loved the vibrant colors and prints, especially from jackets like the Same Reversible and long-sleeved shirts for boys like the Arandano.
I was particularly struck by their Cirque de Soleil collection that featured bright flowers, cirque characters, and funky prints. This includes the fun Lila shirt, the Andrea skirt and the Amarillo dress that my daughter had the chance to test out. Since it appeals to her fashionable mix and match appeal, she loves to wear it virtually everyday. This dress includes fun navy colors, bold flowers, printed sleeves and a cirque character that she says is 'really cool.' They also have a Disney line and offer fun accessories like the Maripili bag that is perfect for school!
In addition to their kids line, the company is also launching a baby line featuring modern onesies, cute sweat shirts and tees that is unlike anything out in the baby market.
A line that focuses on everything kids love, Desigual is the perfect ode to fashion, functionality and fun - essentially everything you and your kids will love.
