It's boot season ladies, but that doesn't mean you have to always tuck them into skinny jeans or pair with pencil skirts. Consider this suit--it's a blazer and shorts and a perfect place to test out the look of booties with a shorter look for fall.
The suit was a splurge a few years ago in Paris (Paule Ka) and I am so in love with the blazer with the leather bow. Often I keep this more lady-like and pair it with kitten heels or flats, but this go-round I made the outfit a little more urban. I added black Coach booties, a metallic necklace from Stella & Dot and the coolest new boot tights from Hanes. I'm wearing Hanes: Silk Reflections Boot Liner Control Top Tights ($15)
The tights have a nice matte finish--and provide a touch of warmth. But the best part is the ribbed foot which offers a better fit with boots--you don't have to add socks to the tights to be comfortable. Pretty clever.
Have you brought out the tights yet? What fashions are you excited to try. Share your thoughts and style and link up at Monday Mingle--our weekly fashion share-fest. Hosts are Jill from Glamamom, Kristin from Bonbonrosegirls.com and yours truly. This week Jill is hosting so be sure to stop by.
This post was not sponsored. I did get the necklace, boots and tights as gifts--but not for this post. They've just gotten woven into my wardrobe.
