Momtrends had the amazing opportunity of getting a massage at Edamame Maternity Spa a few weeks ago. Edamame Spa is located in Destination Maternity stores and offers facials, massages, and body treatments designed to meet your unique skin care needs during pregnancy and after pregnancy. Mothers to be are able to lose themselves in a luxurious zen-like retreat. Tranquil ocean sounds and soothing teas are just the start of this pampering experience, including a complete menu of spa treatments specially designed to rejuvenate the expectant mom's mind, body, and spirit. On staff are highly-skilled facialists' and massage therapists providing top of the line services that are specifically designed for us moms-to-be. Some of the yummy products used are from Mama Mio, Basq, and Mustela.
I was able to experience the 50-minute Basq Ultimate Pregnancy Massage. This massage included a refreshing eye treatment of cucumber & green tea and stretch mark care on my belly, hips and lower back. I was able to select from three Basq aromas: Calm: lavender & pear blend, Fresh: eucalyptus spa blend, Revive: grapefruit citrus blend. I chose the eucalyptus one. The eucalyptus was just what I needed for my cold. I left there feeling super relaxed, stress free and relieved of all the tension in my body. I highly recommend Edamame spa for anyone who is expecting. All of the massage tables have cutouts for the bellies, allowing you to lay face down comfortably. I have experienced several massages throughout my pregnancies and none of them even compare to how amazing Edamame Spa was. I cannot wait to book my next appointment!
Locations for Edamame Maternity Spas are located in Destination Maternity stores in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Arizona. For more information visit www.destinationmaternity.com
