My baby girl is almost a year old. I am definitely filing that in the "time is flying by" category. It has been a whirlwind year filled with wonderful new firsts for her as she went from spending her early days in the NICU to crawling, eating and (almost) sleeping through the night. One thing that has not been on my radar is exercise. I do believe in the balance of having a healthy diet and exercise, but I really can't find time to go to the gym and I also realize that form of exercise is not for me. As a New Yorker my exercise is walking, and of course, chasing after my two kids. Now, that my baby is reaching her first year I have been thinking about getting toned and started a fitness routine for myself.
No easy task due to organizing time, I decided to start slowly by running twice a week and incorporating some free weights into the plan three times a week. To kick-off my plan I started by wearing the right exercise gear from Moving Comfort. I learned all about this interesting brand at an editor's conference in NYC and I was sold on its innovative technology and eco friendly materials that is designed to make a woman feel comfortable. As an all-woman company, Moving Comfort was founded in 1977 by two woman who loved to run but "hated the strange-fitting men'??s shorts they had to run in." I can definitely relate to that with having to wear baggy or ill-fitting clothing in the past. Moving Comfort knows and understands the details of a women's body and designs their line with detailed of research, design and production '?? from pattern room to running path to create the ultimate sports bras, underwear, tops, bottoms and accessories for women.
I started out by testing the Work it Shorts, awide contoured short with a knit waistband. Initially I was drawn into the shorts due to its deep purple color but after wearing them I loved the incredible level of comfort I felt thanks to its stretchy micro-fiber material. I tested them out by running for 20 minutes and as I jogged I loved the feeling of the inseam that rested comfortably along my belly button. The shorts also contain invisible front hand pockets as well as a linear for added protection. I also loved that these shorts (as well as the Frontrunner and Momentum Short) are made with recycled polyester. In addition to wearing them during my new exercise regime I also wear them to bed where I feel as if they are hugging my body and offering support in all the right places.
I also tested out the Form Tank, a silky, lightweight seamless shirt. As no tank top that I was used to, this model is an engineered knit for unique texture and design that is also seam-free and features a racer-back style. Not only for working out I loved how this this top fits true to size and worked as a shirt underneath my regular clothing.
In addition to those items, Moving Comfort has a fantastic sports bra line that contain recycled coffee grounds to move odor and prevent odor. This includes their Momentum Short, Alexis and Luna lines that are also incredibly supportive which can allow you to take on a very physical and high-sweat routine with ease.
Offering support, eco friendly materials, and fashionable workout gear, Moving Comfort clearly knows a women's body and offers numerous products for moms to enjoy their workout while doing so with confidence, comfort and ease.
