Their delicious and healthy products are certified kosher, lower in cholesterol, sodium and saturated fats and have no preservatives, artificial flavorings, or trans fats. Several options are gluten-free as well (be sure to check product labels to ensure this).
While many of Dr. Praeger's foods are enjoyable for adults and children alike, two special lines are marketed especially for kids. The "Fishies" are a healthier alternative to fish sticks, either lightly breaded or potato crusted, and shaped like little fish. The "Littles" include fun veggies shapes, made from potato, broccoli, sweet potato or spinach.
The Dr. Praeger website also features kid-friendly recipes and suggestions for food kids will love. One suggestion, a cinnamon-sugar sweet potato treat, features a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top of cooked Dr Praeger'??s Sweet Potato Pancakes, then top with a dollop of applesauce, a healthy recipe that both of my little taste-testers were begging to try!
