With my second pregnancy, I am so excited to chronicle my fashionable journey on Momtrends as the Maternity Maven. Check out my weekly column where I test out some of the best gear, products and clothes on the market for stylish moms-to-be. Last week, I attended a special preview of Destination Maternity. Here is the scoop from this fashionable event!
Pregnancy should never be an excuse to stop being fashionable. Showing off the baby bump can comfortable and stylish - especially with the hottest designers out there featuring some fabulous and chic maternity wear. I didn't buy maternity clothes with my first pregnancy, but now that I have seen some fabulous maternity looks, I cannot wait to show off my growing belly.
Last week, I had the chance to check out the Spring 2012 collections from Destination Maternity (A brand of A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity.) It was clear that the brand will never let moms-to-be sacrifice style for pregnancy. Many of the trends that were shown for 2012 were the same ones we have seen on the runway, just altered to accommodate you during pregnancy.
Motherhood Maternity is Destination Maternity's most affordable brand. They offer a complete selection of the latest fashions from sexy and sophisticated to bold and beautiful all at great low prices.
Color blocking is in for Spring and there is no better way to show off bright, bold colors than these amazing cobalt blue pants.
I was weary of the horizontal striped sweater for the top. In the past I have always heard that horizontal stripes make you look bigger. But the designer told me himself that horizontal stripes are one of their biggest selling item in the store. He also mentioned that pregnancy is no better time to wear them because it accentuates your wonderful growing belly.
Spring is a great time to getting ready to hit the beach and Motherhood Maternity had great swimsuits.
This fashionable black and white suit was one of my favorites. The asymmetrical stripes that cover the suit add just the right amount of flair for a great day basking in the sun!
A Pea in the Pod is the companies more luxury brand. It offers the mom-to-be exceptional contemporary pieces that reflect her uncompromising sense of style.

The brand also has a great line of bright bold colors for Spring 2012. This was my favorite look in the showroom. The bright red blazer looks great paired with the navy top and jeans. It can be worn for a night out or at work - it is simple, yet elegant - not to mention would also work for those months after the baby is born.
The blazer is accented with gold buttons and hits right at the waist, which shows off your bump.
If you are brave enough to go bare belly at the beach (like many celebs), than this swimsuit is for you. Bright colors, gold accents, and a fashionable way to show your belly.
The showroom also featured amazing evening gowns for those special nights out with the ones you love.
Don't be afraid to be pregnant and fashionable and show off your bump this Spring with bright and bold colors!
