Cynthia Rowley delivered a stellar collection of wearable art at NYC 2012 Fashion Week. We were on hand for the show and the pre-party that kicked off her fashionable new collaboration with BAND-AID.
The BAND-AID collection was all surfer chic--the runway was just chic. Our favorite BAND-AID? The jellyfish. Our favorite runway look? #20 deep v baubled black dress and #36 white leather trousers and while bauble satin tee.
As Cynthia was prepping models for the runway (showing off fall looks), we grabbed her for a few minutes pre-show to talk about her new line. I asked her how she wanted moms to feel when they used this new product and she said, "Happy!" She also hoped that moms got the sense of humor she infused in the BAND-AID bandages. There are seahorses, wet suit zippers and more.
This new collection of designer bandages come in a Sport Kit and are 100% waterproof. The kit includes 20 bandages with surf flare, 4 neosporin packets and a resealable plastic pouch that fits a cell phone. $10 available online in May.
What else? Well, we talked to Zoya and for spring they want us to layer nails. It's all about adding "nail flecks"--a top coat of glitter.
Hair was all about texture. The hair team had Amika styling wands and irons and was getting cool height and volume.
Glitterati in the crowd included Kelly Rutherford and Rebecca Romjin.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get some free BAND-AID bandages and some prosecco to sip!
