We'??ve stumbled on to some awesome rugs that make amazing kitchen accents. From the design girls at DomesticConstruction.com, a duo that creates in Brooklyn we have updated our kitchen from so-so to sensational. We went to the studio to check out the process.

First the girls weave together paper patterns, and then photograph them. Next stop, turning the photos into textiles that are then matted onto a neoprene-like substance. Washable and pleasantly squishy underfoot, we think these rug are going to be the next big thing in kitchens. Forget about those woven cotton rugs, you see everywhere. Cool moms are opting for this modern new solution.
