I am all for making things easier in the kitchen without having to sacfrice taste or quality. A new system called the The Ninja Cooking System is an incredible way for families to enjoy healthy meals in half in the time. How it works is simple - its super-heated features allows you to enjoy a variety of cooking features from steam-roast, steam-bake, sear and slow-cook.

I recently experienced the beauty of this innovative product when I created various meals over one weekend. First, I used the stove top method to make a pumpkin/black bean soup, then I baked a roasted chicken using the enclosed roasting pan and wire rack. This can also be used to steam vegetables or use it as an oven to bake cupcakes!

This allows for a diversity of meal options - where frozen food can be ready in 30 minutes (no microwave required) or it meats and vegetables can be seared to add more flavor. Another cool feature of the ninja is that it allows for the fat to drain so you are eating the healthiest meal possible without any excess oil.

Another aspect of the Ninja Cooking System that I really enjoyed is that you can cook a multitude of meals in one pot. Meaning you can cook your entire course in the pot as you layer the main course, vegetables, and pasta or rice to cook in just 30 minutes. This not only cuts clean-up time in half thanks to the Ninja'??s exclusive Triple Fusion Heat'?¢ technology, which combines heat contact from the bottom of the pot, direct heat from the sides, plus super-heated steam for faster and more even cooking.

'??The Ninja Cooking System is truly revolutionary,'? said Stephanie O'??Dea, author of '??A Year in Slow Cooking'?. '??Using the stovetop setting, I can brown meat and caramelize onions before slow-cooking and, afterward, make a reduction sauce '?? all in one pot. The Ninja Cooking System lets me do so much in one easy-to-use and easy-to-clean appliance.'?

As O'??Dea notes, the stovetop setting can also be used after slow-cooking to deglaze sauces, and to add delicate vegetables for a perfect texture. The Ninja Cooking System'??s slow-cooker setting is programmable; set the cook time and the Ninja Cooking System automatically switches to a warming setting once cooking is complete.

The Ninja Cooking System also features a professional grade, non-stick aluminum pot to distribute heat evenly and quickly, digital oven controls and a timer function to ensure cooking time accuracy. The Ninja Cooking System is available at retailers in the U.S. and Canada.
