Staying organized is a priority of mine for 2013. To stay on top of all of the exciting aspects in my life - work events, afterschool sports schedules, recipes, medical info, shopping receipts, travel itineraries, etc, I have been using a new online free service called Clipboard.
How it works is simple. You can sign up via your facebook page, or simple add in your personal information on your own. Then you are asked to organize various sections to clip (recipes, art &design, sports, etc) and then have a homepage showcasing all of your personal categories. You can then share your favorite pages or email them to your friends. The real beauty of Clipboard is the organizational aspect. Since you can share and add everything, you can use this site as a resource for all of your travel ideas, recipes, weekend plans, etc to stay on top of everything in your life. Clipboard also lets you preserve the visual look, style and feel of the original item '?? and share it publically (cute outfits, coupons, fabulous recipes) or privately with family and friends - enabling you to share important information with a small group of people. That was a huge bonus to me - since I want to be able to access everything in one location. That also means no more time wasted searching several sites, digging around in email, or trying to remember it all on a to-do list '?? imagine all the info you REALLY need neatly displayed on one page. So how is this different from Pinterest? The first thing is the fact that you can share your information with your friends and family and make pages private for easy sharing. Another big difference is that anything that you upload is hyperlinked, so your image has a title that goes directly to your website, so you will always get credit for your work. This is huge in the world of picture stealing in the online world.
As a parent's best friends, Clipboard is an excellent way to stay on top of everything in 2013 and to do so with a beautiful and clean interface.
