On September 19th we will be celebrating the 10th annual International Talk Like A Pirate Day, an annual event that is celebrated in more than 40 countries worldwide. It is a fun day that involves people talking like pirates and some dress in pirate costumes as well. Costumes include pirate swords, hats and eye patches. Some people have images of the skull and bones on hats or printed material to promote the day. Various phrases, such as '??Ahoy,'? '??Arrr,'? and '??Aye aye,'? are spoken on International Talk Like a Pirate Day that are credited by John Baur and Mark Summers who created this fun concept 10 years ago.
My son loves acting like a pirate and we have a bunch of fun pirate items in our house. To help celebrate International Talk Like A Pirate Day, I came across these fun items for you to share with your little ones!
