I don't watch much TV these days and don't even have cable, but one show that I love to follow (a few seasons later) is Mad Men. There is something so foreign and mystifying about this time where ad men took meetings over cocktails and women were trying to find their way. The drama that unfolds on the screen is also beautifully captured in the costumes that fully capture this interesting time. Banana Republic was also inspired by show and is introducing their Mad Men collection for Spring.
Momtrends had the chance to ask Simon, Banana Republic's Creative Director, about the new collaboration where he spoke how he received such an overwhelming response to the first collection with Janie Bryant. He added, "I knew we had to put our heads together for a new one this spring. We continually find fresh ways to re-imagine stylish work wear for the Banana Republic customer and spring delivers a whole new palette for us to play with. It gave us an excuse to draw from different scenes and wardrobe from the show, which resulted in a second capsule with a fresh, country club-inspired twist."
