One of my favorite fashion week appointments is in the Meat Packing District--the Anya Hindmarch showroom. Each season, I'm treated to seeing the "it" bags from a designer who knows how fashionable moms operate. We want style, we want to be cool and please, please help us look like we're keeping it all together.
Anya is a mom of five, and while she designs more for the general fashionista population, we can't help but think she's got an eye out for moms in need of a style boost.
For the holidays, we hope Mr.Momtrends (er, I mean Santa) head to one of the boutiques to order an Marano clutch with a little personalized touch. The Anya Hindmarch stores will personalize this little pieces of handbag jewelry.
Maybe you've been really angelic this year. Then you might wish for the limited edition diary Anya is making just for the holidays. Modeled after the old-school cab shelter, these journals are personally developed by Anya and full of charm. There are 10 handmade calendars/journals being produced and each one is a treasure. Expect to pay £750 for this gem.
For the rest of us who have been more naughty than nice, there's the standard, and still luscious, leather two-way diary(£195).
For spring the bag I'm adding to my wish list is the Bruton. This satchel is named after a London street and bear resemblance to a vintage doctor's bag. We love how it has been interpreted with this contrasting trims.
What else is trendy and cool? Labeling. We love that Anya keeps adding to her line of staples.
Tassels remain a focal point. And we're mad for all the green this spring.
The collection of color blocked rubberized bags (main feature) was so chic and user-friendly for moms. Finally, the tropical collections had us ready to book a vacation to someplace balmy.
