Amex Rewards Points

Reaping the benefits of American Express Membership Rewards has never been easier...or more stylish. Mr. Momtrends and I have been members for more than ten years. We'??ve used points to see the world and to outfit our home in style. When American Express reached out to me to share my picks and opinions about the Points for Presents program I thought I was a perfect fit.

Most people know you can use your American Express Membership Rewards points for travel, but why not gifts?

Case in point. This weekend we hosted a fabulous cocktail party for our fabulous friends at our Brooklyn loft. One of the husbands of a dear friend of mine (our girls go to school together) asked for some help. Let'??s call him Mr.X. He'??s been traveling a ton this year for work. And his saint wife has been holding down the fort beautifully.

Mr. X asked what was trendy this year for his super-chic wife. That'??s when I told him all about this program. I knew Mr. X has scored big miles with his business expenses. I suggested he skip the pandemonium of the malls (and the pushy salespeople) and head right to the American Express holiday online rewards pages.

Since I know Mrs. X pretty well, I gave him a few suggestions. Here'??s where I steered him.

First pick a chic little travel case like the Tumi Tegra-Lite Medium Trip Packing Case. 76,888 points (was 96,110 points). At just about 8 pounds, this bag is so chic. Wrap this up and put it under the tree.
