Pepperidge Farm, the brand renowned for delicious favorites like Milanos (read my recap about the new cookie offerings here), is celebrating their 75th-anniversary this year. Founded by Margaret Rudkin when she baked a loaf of bread to address her son's allergies in 1937, the line expanded to offer cookies, crackers and more offerings in the bread category.
This iconic brand also recently expanded their product offerings with new cookies, crackers, and bread offerings. I recently tested out a few of these delicious varieties - here is more of what to expect at your grocer this fall.
Pepperidge Farm Simply Natural Breads: Available in soft and smooth-textured Honey Wheat and Honey Oat varieties. These great tasting wholesome breads are made with simple, quality ingredients like whole grain, real honey, nonfat milk, butter and molasses, and with no artificial flavors, preservatives or added color pay homage to founder Margaret Rudkin'??s famous original loaf. I loved using them for our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or morning toast that provided a mildly sweet taste.
Goldfish Bread: This was an instant favorite in our house thanks to the cute shape and delicious texture. Made with whole grain, this soft bread has no high fructose corn syrup and comes in Brown Sugar and Cinnamon varieties. Ideal for breakfast or a lightly sweet yet wholesome snack.
Pepperidge Farm Caramel Apple Swirl Bread: A limited edition seasonal treat (August through November), this bread is perfect for enjoying one of fall'??s sweetest harvest flavors.
Pepperidge Farm Jingos! This new snack cracker is available in three unique varieties'??Zesty Lime & Sweet Chili, savory Parmesan Garlic, and smoky Fiesta Cheddar. I loved the Parmesan Garlic with some cheese and my daughter loved the bold flavor from the Fiesta Cheddar variety.
