'Tis the season of wanting to get out of dodge. Am I right? Haha! Winter can be tough and any excuse to escape those frigid temps is A-ok. Even if you just head to a hotel and partake in cocoa by the fire and a little hot tub action, anything a welcome respite from the never ending winter we have in front of us. I know that a vacay may be a pipe dream however. A getaway just might not be in the cards right now, but perhaps you some business travel coming up like I do. So, it's talk travel bags...
Short trips can sometimes be tough to pack for. You don't really have enough to fill a suitcase, but a small duffel doesn't do the trick either. That's where the weekender comes into play. A spacious weekender bag is all you need when you're only traveling for a few days. But you want more out of your weekender than space. You want a bag that's durable and makes organization easy as pie. One word pockets...You want pockets! All three of my weekender recommendations have each of these getaway bag requirements and then some.
First up we have the Babymoov Traveller Bag. This bag's intention is for it to be used as a hospital bag for expectant mamas. And considering how much moms to be like to be prepared, I'm sure you can imagine how nice and roomy this bag is. It's perfect for getaways with your baby or solo. I've taken mine on multiple trips now and it makes for a fabulous weekender. Plus, the little pouch it comes with is so handy for the scaled down makeup I pack when traveling light.
Keeping your New Year's resolutions
The New Year is off to a fresh start, and many of us are committed to doing something or many things with more intention this year. But it's tough to stay on track. In fact, “Quitters Day”, which falls on January 14th this year, is the day when most people give up. How can you ...read more

The Best Overnight French Toast Recipe
We've hit the winter lull--that lengthy stretch of season with no plans, no parties, nothing to do, and nowhere to go. I have to admit that at first, I welcomed the quiet obligation-free weekends of January. After the nonstop hustle-bustle pace of November and December, my family ...read more
Next up is the 7 A.M. Roma Diaper Bag. I also love their Voyager Diaper Bag. In fact, most of their diaper bags are travel worthy. Sure, technically, they're diaper bags and you could definitely use one as your every day tote, but I've found the size to be great for overnight trips. You can easily fit a day or two worth of clothes in one and the pockets...Did I mention how much you can ft in those pockets?
And finally we have the Cath Kidston overnight bag. I picked up this beauty at the Cath Kidson store in Notting Hill, but you can score it at their online store too! Even if floral prints aren't your jam, they have a slew of kitchy prints to choose from. When I said this bag is sturdy, I mean it. This bad boy toted all my kids' souvenirs all the way home from Europe!
