My favorite family ski destination--Crested Butte--is gearing up for another great season of family fun. This destination resort opens on November 27th. Are you ready?
Here's why we loved the resort:
For the 2013-2014 season, the kick off theme is "A Blizzard of Oz." And get this, on opening day there is free skiing for all! With Ski Free being such a tradition here in Crested Butte and the excitement that it brings to the mountain on opening day, we wanted to offer the promotion again this year, says Scott Clarkson, vice president of marketing and sales for the resort. It is a great opportunity for guests and community members to get a few runs in early season, at no charge, making it an awesome day for all!
Since the theme is Blizzard of Oz, guests and staff members are encouraged to dress in their favorite Wizard of Oz attire. Look for the yellow brick road leading to the Red Lady Express lift, costumed characters and a champagne toast.
For guests who want to stay longer to enjoy the fun, the Early Season Ski Offer is available; $79 per person, per night to ski and stay at the Grand Lodge Crested Butte. Available November 28 December 17, 2013, some restrictions apply. For details please visit www.skicb.com/earlyseason.
