Looking for a fun-filled family day trip to do this summer? Why not go explore and experience The Crayola Factory in Eastern Pennsylvania. We all the products every day and our kids absolutely love them so we loaded up in the car to see how the magic of creativity happens. This factory isn't the real spot where the mass-market crayons are created, instead it is a spot that shows a bit of the productions magic involved and a LOT of the ways to use Crayola products.
The Factory offers so many different activities for you and your kids .You can start by taking a tour of the crayon manufacturing. Watch as they make you your very own four pack of crayons right before your eyes.
As a mom, I can't tell you how many times I've told the kids not to color on the walls --but there at the factory you can!! So go nuts and no one will be sent to time out!!
Check out the glow in the dark experience (above) and the chalk walk. If you have a sculptor in your family, don't miss out on the Magic Modeling Clay.
Admission is surprisingly affordable (note: children under 2 are free). Kids/adults ages 3-64 are $9.75. Admission includes a day at the Crayola Experience and the National Canal Museum. Summer hours 9:30 am to 5 pm. Take a break for lunch in their Brown Bag Lunchroom.
You can buy tickets online here. You will also find driving directions on the main page. Have a colorful trip!
