Music calms the savage beast...or something to that effect. That's why we always have a few kiddie CDs in the car and on the iPod. Hey, traffic happens on every trip, and while mom and dad may want to listen to "grown-up" music, they most certainly do not want to hear screaming tots. Putumayo Kids Presents: European Playground ($13.99) is a happy compromise. The music is catchy and upbeat and not at all annoying. The CD includes 15 tracks from Europe (and don't we want to embrace the global scene!). The cute liner notes are in English, French, Spanish and German. My girls love Bon Jour Tout Va Bien and my favorite is Tudom En Mar Mit Ssinalok (I dare you not to start tapping your foot to this one).
