Vacations are a great opportunity to reconnect with your family. Trouble is getting out the door and to your designated vacation spot with kids in tow can be a huge hassle. Let's see, there's the portable playard (aka pack-n-play), the car seat, the travel stroller, thediaper bag, toys, cloths...the list goes on and on and on.

Sit and Stroll

Weary parents can free up some hands and lighten the load a bit thanks to the Gogo Kids Travelmate. This handy little device attaches to the back of most car seats, effectively turning the car seat into a stroller that can be wheeled (with baby snugly strpped inside) through the airport with ease. Yes, I've seen and tested the Sit & Stroll (a car seat that also has wheels). Unfortunately, I don't think these items are great car seats and for $200 who needs another large piece of baby gear! For $80 the Gogo allows you to convert the car seat you already know and love into a wheeled transportation device.

The best feature: the sturdy, 5" wheels. They gave a smooth ride. I also like the telescoping handle. On the down side, I found the directions a bit confusing. It took me 20 minutes to assemble and attach the Gogo base to my Eddie Bauer car seat. Once it was attached I was please with the overall performance.

That being said, this will not take the place of a stroller while you are on vacation. If you don't need a stroller or if you're going to a family resort where strollers are available, leave the stroller at home and use the Gogo.
